Executive Administrator: Dr. Roy R. Wise, Pastor
Dr. Roy R. Wise is the Pastor of Heritage Baptist Church and the Executive Administrator of Heritage Christian Academy. Dr. Wise has served at Heritage since 2001. He has pastored and been associated with Christian schools for nearly 40 years.

Administrator: Mr. Ronald Hamilton
Ronald W. Hamilton has been the Administrator of Heritage Christian Academy since June of 2000. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Bob Jones University. He holds professional teaching certificates from the American Association of Christian Schools. Mr. Hamilton has earned over twenty hours of graduate credits in school administration. Mr. Hamilton has been in Christian education for over 30 years and has served as a classroom teacher, coach, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, and Administrator. Mr. Hamilton presently serves as a board member on the Garden State Association of Christian Schools.

Faculty/Staff
K-4 Teacher: Miss Heather Detwiler
Miss Detwiler holds a three year Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Child Care Ministries from Bob Jones University; and is working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in General Education with a minor in Special Education from Liberty University On-line. She has additional CEU’s from Camden County College and Bob Jones University. Her “Professional Certification” is with The American Association of Christian Schools with an endorsement in Preschool Education. The school year 2011/2012 marks her fifteenth year teaching in Christian schools (the 10th year at HCA). She serves in the church nursery at Heritage Baptist Church and occasionally does volunteer work at a senior citizen community near her home. She was saved at the age of 4 and believes the Lord has called her to serve Him in Christian education.
K-5 Teacher: Mrs. Tami Harris
Mrs. Harris will be beginning her eleventh year at Heritage Christian Academy. Currently teaching the Kindergarten class, Mrs. Harris has taught several grades and subjects including Consumer Math and facilitating live interactive network classes. She is the Eagle Eye Faculty Advisor as well as the Safety Patrol Advisor.
Mrs. Harris is a graduate of The Pilgrim Academy in Galloway, NJ. She holds an Associates of Arts in Early Childhood Education. She is currently pursuing her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education through online classes at Grand Canyon University. She is married to her husband Dave and they have three children (her oldest is an alumnus of Heritage Christian Academy). Mrs. Harris loves teaching and enjoys her students. She believes that teaching in a Christian school is where the Lord has lead her and that it is God’s will for her life.
First and Second Grade Teacher: Miss Erica McPherson
Miss McPherson is beginning her third year as the first and second grade teacher at Heritage Christian Academy. She is a graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University with a duel Bachelors Degree in Bible and elementary education. She has her ACSI(American Christian Schools International) certificate and is certified to teach kindergarten through eighth grade. Miss McPherson also has her Pennsylvania teaching certificate which enables her to be able to teach elementary school (K-6th) in public schools in Pennsylvania. Miss McPherson is prayerfully considering going back to school for her masters degree in special education.
Third and Fourth Grade Teacher: Miss Lindy Kirkham
Miss Kirkham has been teaching third and fourth grades for sixteen years. Fifteen years in Phoenix, AZ. Miss Kirkham is beginning her second year with Heritage Christian Academy. She taught first grade for three years at The Pilgrim Academy in Egg Harbor City prior to moving to Phoenix. Miss Kirkham is a graduate of Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College (formerly of San Dimas, CA) now Heartland Baptist Bible College of Oklahoma City, OK with a B.A. in Elementary Education with a Christian Education emphasis. She has taught five year old kindergarten through the twelfth grade at various times and in various subjects from Art to Drama/Creative Writing. Miss Kirkham is currently working on obtaining her certification through AACS for five year old kindergarten through grade eight.. She has previously held ACSI certification as well. Miss Kirkham has known Christ as her Savior since the age of 8 and responded to the Lord’s call on her life to teach early in her life. She is a faithful member of Emmanuel Church in Egg Harbor City, NJ, teaching a women’s Sunday School class as well as helping in the nursery and in various other capacities as needed.
Fifth and Sixth Grade Teacher: Mrs. Donna Street
Donna Street has taught the fifth and sixth grades at Heritage Christian Academy since 2008. She previously worked in the Eastampton School District for five years. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Trenton State College with a dual major in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She serves regularly as the Vacation Bible School Director at New Testament Baptist Church where she is a member, and has written the VBS curriculum for her church.
Secondary Teacher: Mrs. Deanna Shorter
Deanna Shorter has been teaching at Heritage Christian Academy since 2006. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Pensacola Christian College with a major in Elementary Education. She married her husband Tom on August 5, 2006, and they have one daughter. Mrs. Shorter is one of the administrative secretaries, a teacher of 9th grade English and secondary art, as well as the pianist for HCA chapel services and school programs. She serves regularly as pianist at New Testament Baptist Church where she is a member, and is also involved with the FROG Squad children’s ministry, nursing home ministry, and church nursery.
Secondary Teacher: Pastor Steve Wise
Pastor Stephen Wise came to know Christ as his Savior at the age of five and was called to the ministry at the age of twelve. Pastor Steve graduated from Bob Jones University in 1993. His major was pastoral studies with a minor in public speaking. In addition to his position as youth pastor, Pastor Steve serves as a teacher and coach at Heritage Christian Academy and music director for Heritage Baptist Church. Pastor Steve and his wife Amy were married February 4, 1995. They have a daughter Elizabeth and a son Noah.
Secondary Teacher: Mr. Bryce Hamilton
Bryce Hamilton came to know the Lord at the age of eight and was called into the ministry very shortly after his salvation. He is a Heritage Christian Academy alumnus as well as an active member of Heritage Baptist Church. He recently graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible with a minor in Composite Speech. He also served in a church in Ireland for one summer.
